The location of Destin is in the immediate central area of neighboring cities so you will not have to travel far to share attractions and activities native to that respective city.
For native exclusives, Destin boasts clear, pristine water and a large natural harbor which is home to one of Florida’s largest charter fishing fleets. Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island |

Great beaches, lots of shopping, family attractions and numerous waterfront restaurants are all part of the Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island area. Fort Walton Beach has lots of retail establishments, dining opportunities and family activities.
Okaloosa Island is a gulf front barrier island on the Choctawhatchee Bay, along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and is connected to Destin and Fort Walton Beach by bridges at each end of the island. Known for its long sugar white sand beaches, rolling dunes and emerald green waters, the island also has plenty of water for the boating, swimming, or fishing aficionado. Okaloosa Island is perfect for a stroll on the beach, playing in the surf, fishing from the pier, strolling the boardwalk or partaking of the nightly entertainment, restaurants, hotels and shops.
On the west end, you will find a large selection of condos, resorts, restaurants, service businesses, and beach parks. The east end of the island (toward Destin) consists mostly of long sandy beaches with protected dunes, several beach accesses and gulf side parks. The mid-section of the island is the hub of activities.
